CanadaFirst off I am a 61-year-old, 5'9", 170 pounds, fairly fit male that weekly trail runs, MTB's and road bikes. I ordered the 32 in the Tobin MTB shorts. They fit quite generously. I would almost be tempted to try the size 30. The belt works well and I am able to cinch them in. (For most pants I wear a 32 waist for reference). As has been mentioned, the material is fantastic. Durable with just enough stretch. Let's face it, our sport can tend to be 'high impact' and these shorts look and feel like they will go the distance and take the abuse that MTB will through at them. I have used the shorts now on both MTB, and Road bike. They move well, without any binding, and again enough stretch, but not to much to be annoying! I like these so much I bought my 6'2", 120 pounds, son the next size up!

CanadaReally like the tobin shorts, well built and comfy. There is enough room in the legs and the pockets are actually useful. The sizing is larger than other Foehn pants. The 32 fits more like a 33.
