Best mountain bike short worn si far!! The fit is great ans the type of fabric is really confortable.
Greet fit, and tough! Highly recommend !
Really like the tobin shorts, well built and comfy. There is enough room in the legs and the pockets are actually useful. The sizing is larger than other Foehn pants. The 32 fits more like a 33.
I've owned a lot of mountain bike shorts. Some were less expensive than these, others were in the ballpark. Not a single pair was as comfortable, well thought out, and as durable as the Tobin short. The fabric is next level in terms of stretch and durability, with the bonus being that the fabric holds up to all kinds of nonsense in terms of how you wash it. Oh, you crashed and hit a tree while wearing these shorts? The rest of you is likely going to be in horrible shape but your Tobin shorts will come out of it looking no worse for wear. Perhaps the best thing I can say about the Tobin short is that you're actually, genuinely getting what you pay for. Something I can't say about any other mountain bike apparel I've purchased from other brands. Downsides? I dunno, maybe the lack of a small, secure pocket on the left side of the short that can function as a pass pocket when you're in the bike park? It's hard to knock the shorts too much for this since literally no other mountain bike shorts have this feature either, despite the vast majority of lift-accessed bike parks using RFID cards as lift tickets these days. A credit card sized secure pocket on the left side would take this short from a 4.98/5 to better than 5/5. Would I buy another pair? Yeah. I'm just waiting for the Olive colour way to drop. If you don't own a pair yet, buy the black ones now, the Olive ones when they drop, and thank me later.
Flexible fit with a soft yet durable feel. I really like the thought out waistline for biking.
