somehow.. the gear just keeps getting better. Maybe it’s the material or the fit or the team behind it.. but the Foehn gear seems to just improve every year. I have tested these globally and they never let me down.
Work as intended. Light n packable. Love the fit. Size up if you are in between sizes.
Great design, great attention to details, perfect minimalism. Works as intended. The fabric has a real soft feel on the skin and is for me a real bonus. The only potential drawback: it feels like the sleeves are a size smaller than the rest of the jacket. Like if the Small jacket had XS sleeves, and the Medium jacket had Small sleeves... I’m a skinny guy with no big arms, usually dressing in small with most outdoor companies. Foehn’s chart was clearly pointing at Small too. But after a first try, I ended ordering a second jacket (Medium), because my low profile forearms were squeezed in the Small’s sleeves, to the point of restraining my movements. But the rest of the jacket had a nice fit in my own opinion (and for my girlfriend too) ;-). I guess the intention here is to create a loose fit at the core, without having bulky sleeves?… Great product anyway. But in doubt, you should probably order the larger size.
I just spent two weeks backpacking across Scotland. It was windy! The wind jacket became my favorite piece of kit; comfortable and a nice fit but most of all it cut out the brutal Scottish wind. I often forgot I was wearing it, its going to replace my rain jacket for most of the summer. I am 6’3, 220 pounds and the fit was perfect. I just wish there was a choice of colors!
Well made good material and finish very happy with it! I'm 5'8" and 150 the med is a good fit, ready for summer now.
