These are heavy duty pants. They look stylish for every day use but are also super durable. I'm 6'2" and about 200lbs and the 36' fits me perfect. I would say they're a relaxed 36. Perfect for me but a true 36 may want to go a size smaller.
I have three pairs of these pants. They are perfect for truly every occasion. Incredible range of movement and articulation in the knees. Not baggy- just heavy and solid enough. Imagine a perfectly broken in pair of carharrts except more freedom of movement, move with you and feel like a second skin. I even wear them on the trail in the summer. A side note- great customer service, too !
These are tough pants that I use while camping, off roading, and doing yard work or work around the house. And I can still go to the store in them without looking sloppy. I know that's not really the intended use for these, but they're versatile and look cool. Compared to denim, these feel a lot tougher yet also more comfortable, and I can tell they're going to last forever. The seam sealed zip pocket is a nice touch too. They're sort of like a more technical and fashionable version of Carhartts.
Spent the day clearing downed trees in one of our maple sugar lots, the Nelson pant took a beating and held up wonderfully. What impressed me most was how comfortable they were, I have never had a pair of work pants feel that good. My only recommendation would be for a more narrow leg opening to eliminate snagging on downed undergrowth. Additionally, follow the size guide, I generally wear a 34 as I like my pants a little loose in the waist, the 32 fit perfectly.
Great Design...Great Material...Great Brand. (As a mountaineering switzerlander I live with "the foehn"...so its a matter of love) BUT Maybe there is a slimfit version of it in the future...bec. even by sizing down the pant gets tighter around the hip but still is too loose for slim legs. The only downer... Cheers from the swiss alps
