I have only ridden in the bike pants two times since I got them a week ago. Both times have been in a bike park because it is still too warm to need pants on uphill rides. The pocket layouts are really nice and have enough space to hold all your critical items and limit the need for a pack. The three zippered pockets are spacious, secure, and in somewhat protected areas that keep fragile items out of harms way. There is plenty of room in the knees for pads to be worn without too much bunching up. I would say the only reason I would not give these the full 5stars is because of the sizing. Like other users have pointed out - these pants run large. I am slender and typically wear small or extra small bike apparel. I ordered the smallest size (28 waist, 30 length) and the waist fits more like a 31-32 in other brands. When comparing them to a few different pants that my friends wear, these pants are noticeably baggier. Overall I am very pleased with them as they are very sleek looking, have all the features I want in a bike pant, and they are great to pedal in.
Quality pants with great stretch that will definitely withstand the test of time! Great if you'd like a fit that isn't skin tight around the calves like a few other brands. Fits big pads just fine :).
I acquired these during the sale as I don’t plan to use them for mtb. I’m 5’11” and usually order pants in slim 32x30; I ordered these in 32x30 but the inseam is more than 30 - more like a 33 inseam. I’ll have to have them tailored at some point because they look too baggy for my taste. I hope because of that I don’t lose the elastic hem and zipper. At the end of the day I bought them because of the sustainability goals of the company and the use of bluesign fabrics and pfc-free dwr. And of course the climate neutral certification. Cheers.
Really love these pants. The minimalist design makes it also a good alternative for hiking and running in cold weather. I even used them at the end of the nordic ski season without looking like a lost downhiller. Just beware of the sizing: for me, Foehn’s pants are larger than normal. From the chart I was waist 30 with a 32 inseam, but I had to order a 28 with 30 inseam to be ok, sizes I never wore in my whole life. Stranger: for their jacket I had to buy I larger size. Anyway, just happy with the final result.
5' 11'' @ 165 Lbs. wearing size 32. First pair of mountain bike specific pants, two rides in the pants and they are good pants for the cooler weather. The fit around the ankle is good and does not snag on the chain ring. The biggest issue with the pants is the built-in "engineered belt" it comes loose during a ride, using a motocross style belt system would make these good pants great. At the end of the day the pants feel great and allow you to move around on the bike.
